The coronavirus pandemic has brought us a lot of time to watch shows on platforms like Netflix, Hulu, YouTube TV, Amazon Prime, HBO Max, and many other platforms. As things start to reopen (kind of) we are still binge watching new shows or old shows we can't get enough of!

On social media and on the air, I asked people what are they binge watching right now? My fiance and I just started Schitts Creek and we are absolutely hooked! So what shows are Quad Citizens currently binge watching? We took a Facebook poll and here is what we found:

Schitt's Creek

A lot of people, including myself, are watching Schitt's Creek on Netflix. Starring Eugene Levy, from the American Pie saga, Catherine O'Hara, Daniel Levy, son of Eugene Levy, Annie Murphy and Chris Elliott.

Schitt's Creek follows a family that loses everything except the deed to a town called Schitt's Creek that John Rose (Eugene Levy) purchases for his son David (Daniel Levy) as a joke. The move to Schitt's Creek in an attempt to sell the town so they can move out work their way back up in the world. Schitt's Creek has 5 seasons.

13 Reasons Why

I read this book in high school and loved the book. 13 Reasons Why stars Dylan Minnette, Katherine Langford & Brandon Flynn. Selena Gomez is an executive producer for the Netflix show.

13 Reasons Why follows teenager Clay Jensen as he returns home from school to find a mysterious box with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside he discovers cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker who was his classmate and a crush of his. Hannah  Baker tragically committed suicide two weeks earlier. On tape, Hannah explains that there are thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Clay needs to listen to the tapes to find out if he's on them and the reason he is on there. 13 Reasons Why is now on its 4th season.

Unsolved Mysteries

This show has been trending #1 on Netflix in the U.S. for a couple of weeks now. From the producers of Stranger Things and originators of Unsolved Mysteries, see if you can solve real cases of disappearances, murders and paranormal encounters. All of these mysteries are real. Do you think you could solve these mysteries by watching the episodes of the documentary series?

Supermarket Sweep

If you are looking for a little nostalgia, Supermark Sweep will definitely give you that. The game show on Netflix is from the revival back in the 1990's. If you've never seen Supermarket Sweep, the game show combines an ordinary team-based quiz show with a timed race through a supermarket. In the timed race, you follow the contestants through a supermarket as they collect grocery items. The value of items thrown into the carts determined the winning team.

Queen Of The South

I haven't heard of this show before, but people seem to really like it. Queen of the South stars Alice Braga, Veronica Falcón, Justina Machado.

This story follows Teresa Mendoza (Alice Braga) who is forced into hidiing after her boyfriend is murdered in Mexico. Teresa finds refuge in America and partners up with an unlikely person to take down the Cartel ring leader that has her on the run. Teresa learns how the drug Cartel business works and in the process strategically positions herself to become the leader of the Cartel. Queen of the South has 4 seasons.

Riverdale

If I got a dollar for every time someone asked me if I've seen Riverdale, I'd be rich. Riverdale stars K.J. Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Cole Sprouse and many others.

After the tragic and mysterious death of Jason Blossom, a very popular student, Archie Andrew and his friends become caught of in Jason's death. While finding out who killed Jason, Archie and his friends are dealing with the crazy worlds of sex, romance, school, family and high school. Riverdale has 4 seasons.

Sweet Magnolias

I have yet to see this one but a lot of people are loving Sweet Magnolias. This show stars JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Brooke Elliott, Heather Headley.

This show follows lifelong friends Maddie, Helen and Dana Sue. They try to keep one another positive by lifting each other up as they deal with relationships, family and careers in Serenity, a small town in the south.
