PacSun was facing criticism this Memorial Day weekend for selling a shirt many people found controversial and disrespectful to U.S. soldiers.

PacSun pulled a shirt designed in collaboration with A$AP Rocky after shoppers complained the image was offensive over Memorial Day weekend. The shirt -- which prominently features an upside down flag -- was viewed as disrespectful to members of the military.

A$AP Rocky featured the same image on the cover of his album Live.Love.A$AP and Long.Live.A$AP.

The "union down" flag is only meant to be displayed in times of extreme danger, and since a rapper trying to be rebellious and a soldier risking his life serving our country are clearly NOT the same thing, PacSun decided to remove the shirt from its stores and online inventory. [Billboard.com]
