It's the first day back to reality after a holiday weekend. Back to normal. It sucks when we have to write these blog posts and there's really nothing going on around the Quad Cities, so why not recap the weekend.

I want to thanks everyone who came out  the Bettendorf and East Moline 4th of July parades. I've been gone for 2 years. I was awesome to see so many familiar faces and meet some new ones. I was pretty wore out by the end of the day.

Thanks to Joe Moreno and his crew of volunteers at the Genesis Firecracker Run. Every year when I'm there it gets bigger and bigger.

Thanks to the City of Davenport (and City of Rock Island) for a amazing show at Red, White, and Boom. I was surrounded by friends and family (you know who you all are)and couldn't have been happier.

Thanks to my buddy Chris Anderson in Muscatine for hooking me up with some cool fireworks for myself and my daughter. She was afraid of the sparklers but we managed.

OK, quit reading this and get back to work. Have a great short week.
