It may be hard to believe, but the Fourth of July weekend is almost upon us. The summer's most anticipated holiday is a great time to get together with family and friends, and there are plenty of options for celebrating all over the QC. Put on your best patriotic attire and head out to one of these fun events this weekend.

Red, White & Boom!- July 3

Downtown Rock Island and Davenport's annual celebration kicks off Sunday, July 3 with events on both sides of the river.

Gates open at 5 PM at Modern Woodman Park in Davenport. Free activities going on inside the park include face painting for kids, crafts, bounce house, and a scavenger hunt. Musical entertainment by Rude Punch will start at 6 PM.

Schwiebert Riverfront Park in Rock Island opens at 3 PM. $5 wrist band for inflatables, Bent River Brewing beer garden will be on the great lawn, musical entertainment all day.

Fireworks launched from two barges on the Mississippi will start at 9:30 PM. Listen along to 97X for music synced to the show.

Milan Fireworks-July 3

Vendors and live music on Sunday, July 3 at Camden Park, 2701 1st St. in Milan. Fireworks show at dusk.

East Moline Celebration-July 3

Shuttle service starts at 6:30 from John Deere Harvester parking lot to the Quarter, 7th St. and Mississippi riverfront. Live music, food and beverage vendors, face painting, bounce house, fireworks show at dusk.

Genesis 4th of July Firecracker Run- July 4

5 and 10k at 7:30 AM in downtown East Moline. Kiddie races at 8:45, Triumph Mile at 9:15, awards ceremony at 9:30. Concessions and live music will be along the race route.

Pancake breakfast available from 7:30-11 at the American Legion in East Moline. Adults $5, kids 12 and under $3. Breakfast benefits the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Bettendorf Fourth of July Celebration- July 3 &4

Festival kicks off on on Sunday, July 3, with music and food from 6-10 PM at Cumberland Square.

Parade starts at 10 AM, opening ceremony at noon on Monday, July 4. Food, drinks, rides, entertainment, and inflatables at Cumberland Square. Fireworks show from Middle Park begins at dusk.

Muscatine 4th Of July Celebration- July 4

Parade at 5 PM at Iowa Ave and 4th St, reading of the Declaration of Independence at 7:30 PM, Muscatine Symphony Orchestra will perform at 8, Fireworks at 9:30 PM in downtown Muscatine.

River Bandits 4th of July Game

The River Bandits begin an 8 game homestand as they face off against Beloit at 6 PM at Modern Woodman Park. Fireworks show will follow the game.
