One Midwest restaurant is out-Midwesterning others.

Lent is getting ready to come to a close on Easter Sunday. For Catholics and many observing the season around the Midwest, Lent means no meat on Fridays. But luckily, there are plenty of fish frys on Fridays to keep bellies full of good food.

According to our friends at KWQC, one Wisconsin restaurant is upping the Friday night Lenten season dinner game in a very unique way.

Ian's Pizza in Madison & Milwaukee has created a Fish Fry Pizza, that's specifically served during Lent. It's available February 16th-March 29th.

Definitely an interesting alternative to the normal fish basket, fries, and slaw.

The base of the pizza is mozzarella and tartar sauce and it's topped with fish nuggets and French fries. Once it's out of the oven, it's garnished with coleslaw. The whole thing is very Wisconsin.

General Manager of Ian’s Pizza in Madison, Adam Nagy, says to think of the pizza like a fish sandwich. He says:

That weirdness factor, that once people actually try it they’re like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is so good...It’s Wisconsin, so people love a good fish fry. It’s a little slice of happiness

That is probably why, according to Nagy, the fish fry pizza has become one of the restaurant's most popular specialty pizzas ever.

The fish fry pizza is only available on Fridays during Lent.

We have to admit, it does look pretty good! Would you try fish fry pizza? Let us know in the app!

You Could Own The Greatest House In The State Of Wisconsin

There's a home in Wisconsin that everyone in the state would call the best house on the market. The house is reasonably priced for the amount of money you could get out of it. Why does this house sound like a gold mine? Because it sits and looks directly at the heart of Title Town U.S.A., the legendary Lambeau Field, the home of the Green Bay Packers.
