Body Found in Mississippi River at Rock Island Arsenal Dam

A body was discovered in the Mississippi River today.

I can only imagine having a job where finding a body could be part of the job description. Workers at the hydroelectric dam at Rock Island Arsenal called police when they discovered a body around noon today.

Arsenal emergency personnel rescued the body from the river and delivered it to the Rock Island Coroner's office where an investigation is under way.

The victim has not yet been identified. The coroner’s office will continue to identify the remains notify family members.
