Drivers Give Garbage Trucks A Break In Iowa

When you pull up behind a garbage truck, what goes through your mind? Pry something along the lines of "there's a stinky garbage truck. I'll just drive by quickly so I don't smell it."

Well, that's about to change. According to WQAD.com, Iowa, as well as other states, are enacting a "Slow Down to Get Around" law on July 1st. Under the law, drivers must slow down, change lanes if possible and move with caution around waste and recycling trucks.

Stats show that driving a garbage truck is actually one of the most dangerous jobs in America.
