Getting The QC Ready For St. Patrick’s Day

Get your livers ready Quad Cities...it's St. Patrick's Day weekend.

The festivities kick off today at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds. My buddy Shawn has stacked the deck this year hosting the mother of St. Paddy's Day parties.

The CASI St. Patrick's Day race starts at 9:30 a.m. for the 1 mile run, and 10 a.m. for the 5K. The bi-state parade from downtown Rock Island, over the Centennial bridge, into downtown Davenport kicks off at 11:30 a.m. Parking will be tight. There will be no parking along the race and parade routes starting at 2 A.M. until 3 P.M. Saturday. Get the street closures here.

Also, local police will be out in full force. Remember to be responsible this weekend as we celebrate.
