Three movies open this weekend. One, a much anticipated sequel to a best selling novel. the second, another sequel to a box-office flop. The third..."Black and yellow, black and yellow, black and yellow!"

1. "50 Shades Darker" - When a wounded Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) tries to entice a cautious Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) back into his life, she demands a new arrangement before she will give him another chance. As the two begin to build trust and find stability, shadowy figures from Christian's past start to circle them, determined to destroy their hopes for a future together. They split up at the end of the last movie, but he talks her into getting back together, renegotiates their relationship contract . . . and even proposes . . . between their many, many sex scenes, of course. Rita Ora is in it as Christian's sister, Mia Grey, Kim Basinger is the woman who taught him to be a man, and Bella Heathcote is a former submissive who stalks Ana.

2. "John Wick: Chapter 2" - John Wick's forced out of retirement by someone who wants him to eliminate one of the leaders of an international assassins' guild.  Keanu Reeves is John Wick.  Common and Ruby Rose are two of the assassins trying to kill him, and Laurence Fishburne is a crime lord Keanu turns to for help.  Ian McShane and John Leguizamo are also back from the first movie.

3. "The Lego Batman Movie"- Will Arnett is back as Batman, who sets off a world of chaos after hurting the Joker's feelings by saying he's not his #1 nemesis.  Zach Galifianakis is the Joker. The rest of the villains include Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Conan O'Brien as the Riddler, Billy Dee Williams as Two Face, and Jenny Slate as Harley Quinn.  And the rest of the heroes include Channing Tatum as Superman, Jonah Hill as Green Lantern, Rosario Dawson as Batgirl, and Michael Cera as Robin.

The movies are a great way to spend some time with your Valentine's Day date, or by yourself. There's something for everyone. I already know which one I'm going to see. Don't forget her diet soda and Ju-Ju B's!
