This Iowa City and Muscatine Store Closing

It seems some stores are dropping like flies in and around the Quad Cities.

With other store closings in the Quad Cities lately, it's no surprise there are more stores around our area closing, too.  A couple weeks ago, I saw the clearance signs for the RadioShack closing in Moline, off John Deere Road and wondered if there were going to be others.

According to Consumerist.com, somewhere near 530 stores could be shutting their doors and 365 have been announced. This includes Iowa City and Muscatine, IA. This is a second-round of closing announcements, after declaring bankruptcy.

In the spirit of trying to look at the bright side, these locations are in high-traffic areas and hopefully, this is room for other stores to move in and have success in our communities.
