We've all felt like this bald eagle found in the Midwest at one point in our lives.

Have you ever overeaten at Thanksgiving, gone all out on Christmas, or enjoyed too many buffalo wings on a wing Wednesday that put you in a food coma? Usually after Thanksgiving, I do the dishes and then need about 4 hours of recovery before being asked to contribute anything to society. There will be zero productivity from me after a meal like that.

There was a bald eagle found in Missouri that couldn't get off the ground and was originally thought to be injured. After further investigation, it turns out that the eagle enjoyed a little too much road-kill for dinner and was "too fat to fly."

Too Fat to Fly

The Missouri Department of Conservation rescued a bald eagle found along the boundary of Wilson's Creek National Battlefield, in Republic, Missouri, according to 1011Now.

The original report was that the bald eagle was injured but after the Department of Conservation inspected the eagle, it turned out that the eagle had just enjoyed a massive raccoon-road-kill meal. You can see the outline of the raccoon's paw in the eagle's stomach in the X-ray photos that the Dickerson Park Zoo took of the eagle.

After discovering the eagle had indulged in too much food, the department rehabilitated and released the eagle near the area where it was found, which complies with state and federal laws, according to 1011Now. As you can see in the last photo, it looks like this eagle will be just fine as it takes flight.

I might not understand what it's like to be able to fly but I think you and I can surely relate to enjoying a little too much food, kicking our feet up, and doing absolutely nothing for the rest of the day.

This might be the closest we ever get to having something in common with National Bird of the United States.
