This is too crazy to make up! An Iowa City man was arrested last weekend following a huge brawl earlier this month involving a baseball bat, a shovel, and a tricycle.

Iowa City police said officers were called to the 3500 block of Shamrock Place in Iowa City on Jan. 15 at approximately 2:00 p.m. for a report of a large fight of about eight people using baseball bats to hit a Pontiac Grand Prix.

According to police complaints, Mack P. A. Hartison, 22, of 3556 Shamrock Place, was hitting the owner of the car while Hartison's mother and sister hit the vehicle with a baseball bat and broken shovel. Hartison's mother, who is not named in the complaint, also threw a tricycle at the car owner, police said.

The car had four windows and a side mirror broken for a total of over $1,100 in damage, police said, and at least three people called in the incident. [Iowa City Press-Citizen]
