Quad Cities Guide for St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Take the guess work and confusion out of one of the QCA's biggest celebrations.

I don't know about you, but when there's a huge parade, I get a little nervous about where to park, which streets are closed and where the majority of traffic will be. Clearly, I am a Type A 'planner', and for those of you who like to know as much as possible beforehand, here's the lowdown.

While you'll pretty much want to avoid downtown Rock Island and downtown Davenport mid-morning and early afternoon for the parade (from a traffic perspective), don't avoid it altogether. Park the car, grab your friends and family and be sure to wave at me and Wes Jordan in the parade. Look for the B100 vehicle and for us, walking with the winner from the Q.C.'s  Most Irish Spirited contest. The winner will be announced tomorrow at Kelly's Irish Pub with Wes broadcasting live from 4-6 p.m.
