Quad Cities on Tap brought over 100 beers to the QCCA Expo Center in Rock Island and over a thousand people sampled Ale's, Lagers, IPA's, Hard Ciders and more Saturday afternoon.

I found a few that I really enjoyed and then as most sampling events go, there were others that were nice to try but I probably won't buy them. My favorite of the day was Bayou Bootlegger Root Beer. It had a strong root beer taste and even a slight hint of licorice. The server told me that it'll be available soon at HyVee.

I also really enjoyed Private Reserve Barrel Aged Cherry. A little tart but still easy enough to enjoy a full bottle. Other things I enjoyed were Hyve Honey Ale and Potosi Tangerine IPA. If you watched our Facebook Live video you'll see that I tried Green Tree's Mintery Night coffee beer. It turned out to be as good as Olivia said it was.

Overall a lot of great choices, especially if you were willing to try a few things that were out of your comfort zone.
