Which QC area county made the list?
I admit I am a nerd, sometimes. There's a side to me that loves statistics and odd facts about people, places and things. It may be considered useless knowledge but when it comes to health facts, my ears perk up.
In recent years, I have let my nerdy, health nutty side, come completely out of the closet. In doing so, I can't help but pay attention to the facts when I stumble upon them. For instance, when I saw dark blue on this map in Muscatine County, IA. and was surprised when realized it made the Top 5 obese counties list.
According to countyhealthrankings.org, adults with a BMI of 30 or more is at 35% in Muscatine County. Of course, this data also calculates the number of people living in each county, also. While it's not the worst, out of 99 counties, number 5, should be alarming.
Spring is here. Fresh produce is in and so is the time for exercise. Health truly is our wealth. If you don't have that, you can't do anything in life you truly love.
