I-74 isn't the only thing being torn down and rebuilt in the Quad Cities.

The Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Rock Island – employing 150 people – is relocating to Walcott. The new Coca-Cola distributor warehouse is in the process of being built and they hope to make the official move in March.

The good news is, there aren't any job cuts planned! According to KWQC, all employees from the Rock Island location will keep their jobs. These days, it doesn't seem like that happens too often, so it's comforting to hear. It just means there might be a longer commute to work!

The reason for the move is even better; they just want to get bigger. The new location will triple their docks, and be closer to their primary delivery locations. According to KWQC, local businesses in Walcott are also expected to get a boost!
