UPDATE: Man Charged with Kidnapping of Erie Couple

A missing Whiteside County couple have been found and their abductor, in jail.

In a bizarre set of circumstances that started with a call to police from the couple's bank in Albany about a possible abduction, and even leading to FBI involvement, has ended with the man likely responsible, behind bars today.

According to WQAD.com

A statement from the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office said that 40-year-old Chad C. Schipper has been charged with home invasion, kidnapping and two counts of aggravated kidnapping.

Schipper’s bond has been set at $1 million, the statement said.

Larry and Constance Van Oosten, the couple kidnapped, were found at an undisclosed location in Geneseo.
