Personally, whenever I heard the "thumpity thump thump" portion of "Frosty the Snowman," I always thought of a rabbit. And you can bet I sang it to our first pet of the week of the snowy season.

Say hello to Fergus!

He may look like a cow, but he's definitely a rabbit. More specifically, he's a Rex rabbit. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean he comes from the T-rex bloodline, although he'd probably be cool with wearing a T-rex costume. He loved getting a chance to wear his tie to come see us.

What being a Rex does mean, is that he's very soft. Seriously, this might be the softest animal I've ever touched. His fur feels just like those silky throw blankets you can get at bath and body stores.

Fergus is an adult, but he came in as a stray so there's no way to be 100% certain on his real age. A family with kids old enough and ready for their first pet would be perfect for him!

You can meet Fergus now over at the Humane Society of Scott County!
