Eastern Iowa Town Named One Of The Cheapest Family Vacation Destinations

When you try to take a vacation with your entire family, it can get pretty expensive especially if you have quite a few kids. Luckily, there are places to take the family on a vacation that won't totally break the bank.

For us here in the Quad Cities, we're really fortunate because one of the most affordable family vacation destinations is one of the towns right here in the area. Another town just north of us in Illinois also made the list.

I know we think some towns north of Davenport right on the Mississippi can be a little more expensive than Davenport, but LeClaire landed on the list of 2023's most affordable family vacation destinations.

LeClaire Named One Of The Most Affordable Family Vacation Destinations

Family Destinations Guide conducted an online panel survey of 3,000 adults based on age, gender, and geography to find out which cities are the most affordable family vacation destinations. They used internal data sources to obtain population data sets and used a two-step process to ensure representativeness through stratified sampling and post-stratification weighting.

After doing all of that math, they found that LeClaire, IA is one of the most affordable family vacation destinations. To be exact, LeClaire landed at #52.

A town just north of the Quad Cities that people call LeClaire a mini version of almost made this list. As a matter of fact, it's 6 spots above its comparable Iowa counterpart.

Galena is named the 46th most affordable family vacation destination, according to Family Destinations Guide.
