Another local, beloved Quad City business will close it's doors.

Fresh Deli by Nostalgia Farms was one of my first, 'new' favorite places when I moved back 'home' in 2012. I jumped back on-air here at B100 and started finding places that met my standards in food. (In case you don't know already, read my bio.) I love food that is as fresh-from-the-farm as possible, organic, non-GMO and my favorite restaurants nationwide have been the farm-to-fork variety.

Fresh Deli's Ed and Joe did their best to bring some of that farm-fresh variety to their restaurant. We have had many conversations about the concept and I always enjoyed seeing what they were growing out in front of the restaurant for use in the dishes they serve. My children and I would go there for a drink or quick bite when we attend the Farmer's Market. Some very special memories will remain there for me. I plan on making one more this weekend before 4 p.m. this Sunday, October, 27, 2019.

I will miss one of my favorite spots along the Mississippi River. I'm curious to see what's next.

In Ed's own words, here's what he shared on the Fresh Deli by Nostaliga Farms Facebook page:
