Tacos And Touch & Go's At The Clinton Airport

The folks at the Clinton Airport in Clinton, Iowa are excited for their first scheduled event for 2024. They announced on social media that this Saturday, May 4th is their spot landing contest. The event begins at 4 p.m. and is open to teams or individuals.

As always, first and last-place trophies will be awarded. The event is free, and a taco cookout/awards ceremony will follow the fun,

Other Cinco de Mayo Quad Cities Fun

If you don't want to make the drive to Clinton but still want to get you Cinco de Mayo fun in, make sure you stop by the free Cinco de Mayo Bash at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds.

Fair officials say there will be a ton of live music, fun, and so much more. There is also going to be plenty of food serving up delicious Mexican dishes, especially tacos.

Gates open up at noon with live music in the afternoon by the Crooked Cactus Band, and evening music by Compaz Del Rancho and Nuevo Estilo. Plus, enjoy the return of Ballet Forklorico and the Jalapeño eating contest all hosted DJ Guerrero. The Kids' Zone will be back and open from 12 pm-7 pm.

No need to pay to get in because admission is free. Come hungry because there will be fair food trucks, Mexie's Taco Truck, Arely's Tacos, and more.
