Get Ready For Winter Driving In The Quad Cities
Cooler temps and fog can mean only one thing, winter is just around the corner.
We are just over a month away from the beginning of the Winter Solstice (December 21st if you’re keeping track). Are you ready? More importantly…is your car ready?
According to KWQC, your car works overtime in the winter months. Road conditions are brutal on tires in the winter.
Local mechanics urge drivers to check their engines and make sure their tires are inflated. During bad weather it’s important to keep plenty of distance between yourself and the car in front of you. Officials also advise keeping a few items in your car, in case of an emergency like a flashlight, blanket, tire sealant and first aid kit in your trunk is important.
