Local mechanics urge drivers to check their engines and make sure their tires are inflated. During bad weather it's important to keep plenty of distance between yourself and the car in front of you. Officials also advise keeping a few items in your car, in case of an emergency like a flashlight, blanket, tire sealant and first aid kit in your trunk is important.
