I had a talk with my buddy Shawn Loter at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds this morning. Always good to catch up with that dude.

He asked me to pass along word about his huge St. Patrick's Day party at the fairgrounds this year.

When Kelly's closed, Shawn saw a need in the Quad Cities. He's got a entire fairground to play with so, why not! I know, St. Patrick's Day is the last thing your thinking about when there's almost 2 inches of snow on the ground, but it will be here before you know it.

The celebration is March 16th and 17th at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds. Gates open at 5pm on the 16th and 11am on the 17th. Plenty of bands, food, beverages, and camping. The fairgrounds will become a mini Ireland if you will.

Band schedule:

Friday:

Soul Storm, TOMB, and Electric Shock

Saturday:

Irish dancers, bag pipes, and flying leprechauns will kick off the day followed by Doug Brundies, North of 40, Sugar Nipples, Dirt Road Rockers and more to be announced soon.

This event is free. Get more details here.

We are about 60 days away. Grab your green and get ready to party.
