The 2020 general election is right around the corner and if you plan on voting in person this year, don't take a selfie while you are in the ballot booth because that could land you in jail.

With social media being a major part of our lives, everyone wants everyone they know and don't know the things that they are up to. Buying a new car, going on a trip, their birthday, someone else's birthday, are on the list of many things people just love to tell their followers and friends about.

When it comes to voting, it's no different. Yes, it is very important that everyone exercises their right to vote. It doesn't matter what side of the aisle you are on, it's always important that you go and vote. But when you go to vote tomorrow, make sure you leave your phone in your pocket until after voting.

According to Business Insider, it is illegal in both Iowa and Illinois to take a picture of your ballot while in the booth. If you want to take a picture and show off that you have voted, just collect your "I Voted" sticker, and walk outside, or wait until you get to your car.

Yes, it's exciting to show off the awesome freedom to vote, but your freedom may be cut short if you are caught in Iowa or Illinois.

No matter what, get out there and vote tomorrow. For more resources about voting in the election tomorrow, click here.
