Janet Jackson announced her Unbreakable World Tour earlier this year, which included a stop at iWireless Center next June. However, the tour has encountered a number of setbacks, and Janet announced on Christmas Eve that she is temporarily postponing all of her tour dates.

Janet posted the news on social media, revealing that she needed surgery for an undisclosed medical ailment.

It's unknown what the surgery is for, but she was put on vocal rest by her doctor in August, so it could be related to that. Janet said she would give no further comment on the issue, but she did promise to make up all of the dates that are missed:

It breaks my heart to tell you that I am forced to postpone the Unbreakable Tour until the spring. Every date will be rescheduled. Please hold on to your tickets. They will be honored in a special way when the new schedule is announced. Please pray for me, my family and our entire company during this difficult time.

No word yet on how many shows will be affected. Hopefully Janet gets well soon!
