More job cuts effecting Quad Cities families.

Quad Cities families are on my heart today after reading about more job cuts connected with Deere. As we enter fall and the holiday season, families are always concerned about making sure they can cover their bills and hopefully have extra for a decent Christmas for the kids.

Deere & Company announced today they were cutting ties with IT firm, Stefanini, according to WQAD.com:

"Deere doesn't comment on supplier relationships, but the down agriculture economy is responsible for some 2,000 layoffs in Illinois and Iowa."

Job loss announcements will come once Stefanini has a transition plan in place but the news still isn't easy to deliver to workers. I can only imagine what that's like.

Stefanini is hopeful to workers will pick up another job around the QC and seems to be keeping a pretty positive attitude about it. I can appreciate that. Through the many changes in life I have encountered myself, that is one thing that always helps.

As the old saying goes, 'Whenever one door closes, another opens.'
