It's almost that time of year again. Baseball season 2018 is just around the corner. It's my favorite time of year. The Quad City River Bandits are looking to defend and repeat as Mid-West League Champions. Before that happens, there's some business that needs to be attended to on and off the field.

As the club gets ready for its 2018 season, the team has started to release schedules. Get the 2018 season schedule here.

According to OurQuadCities.com, the Bandits have also released their 2018 promotional schedule as well including fireworks, bobble heads, used car give-a-ways, theme nights, special appearances,  and limited edition merchandise. Some give-a-ways include both Bandits and Huston Astros Championship merchandise. The Astros are the parent club to the River Bandits. Many former players were on that team bringing Huston their first World Series championship.

The Bandits are also looking for National Anthem singers and game day staff.

Saturday, March 3rd from 10AM–2PM, the Bandits will be hosting a job fair. Everything from concessions and grounds crew to promotions and ride operators will be featured.

National Anthem singers will be on a first come first serve basis. Would-be singers will perform on stage in front of staff and judges.

Opening Day is Thursday, April 5, as the River Bandits take on the Cedar Rapids Kernels at 6:35 p.m. at Modern Woodmen Park.
