A train derailed in LeClaire, Iowa overturning multiple train cars just around 11 a.m. Friday.

As of 11:37 a.m., U.S. 67 between I-80 and County Road F33 (Le Claire) has been shutdown according to the Iowa Department of Transportation.

The train derailed near the Buffalo Bill Museum. Traffic is moving slowly according to many reports from KWQC and WQAD.

Le Claire Police have confirmed that both lanes are closed on HWY 67. They are asking that you you avoid the area as of 1:00 PM.

HAZMAT teams are on site to keep an eye on a chemical leak that was found, but confirmed to be nonflammable.
