When you are single, Valentine's Day can seem like more of a nightmare than a day you look forward to. It's one of the those days you wish you could skip over and go about life as usual.

I don't know who says the worst things, those closest to you or strangers. Here are 15 Things I read this morning that make me (and likely most other single people) cringe during the Valentine holiday:

1. "Valentine's Day isn't even that great anyway. Honestly, you're better off."

2. "I just don't even get how you're still single."

3. "Are you excited for Valentine's Day?"

4. "Oh, don't worry, it'll happen for you one day when you least expect it."

5. "Ugh, you're lucky. I wish I was single and didn't have to spend all this money."

6. "Next year will be better for you, I just know it!"

7. "OMG don't sit home alone. You should go out anyway."

8. "Have you thought about downloading Tinder?"

9. "Ugh, do you totally hate Valentine's Day?"

10. "Oh, you're single? So what are you doing on Valentine's Day then?"

11. "You should try to find a date!"

12. "Do you like being single?"
