One of the joys of the holiday season is driving around checking out colorful lights with family (and preferably with a hot cocoa in hand). We're fortunate to have some pretty spectacular displays right here in the Quad Cities.

Here are a few of the best places to check out Christmas lights in the QCA, according to Visit Quad Cities:

Henry's Christmas Yard

Details: Want to check out a truly over-the-top Christmas display that puts the Griswolds to shame? Make your way over to Moline and visit Henry's Christmas Yard. Dazzling decorations and giant inflatables (including a Santa that's taller than the two-story house!) await you.

The house is located at 1504 26th Avenue, Moline, IL.

Quad City Botanical Center

Details: Hop out of the car and stroll around the grounds of the Botanical Center in Rock Island. 100,000 lights can be seen at the Winter Nights, Winter Lights exhibit at the outdoor gardens between 4:30 pm and 8:30 pm Wednesday-Saturday.

Admission is $8 for adults over 16, $4 for kids 2-15, and free for children under 2.

Fejervary Holiday Lights

Details: The Fejervary Learning Center has a new holiday light show with free admission. Just park your car and watch the show go down at 1800 W. 12th St. in Davenport.

Check it out daily from 5:30 – 9:30 pm (the show lasts 15 minutes and runs every half-hour beginning at 5:30 pm). Cars should enter on W. 12th St. and follow signs for parking.
