A Farm Near The Quad Cities Is Offering Selfies With An Alpaca
There's a national holiday for just about everything these days. If you're lucky, you might get a national week or even a national month. On September 28 and 29 this year, it's National Alpaca Farm Weekend!
To celebrate, Irish Meadows Alpaca Farm is hosting an open house. The farm is just about an hour north of the Quad Cities, past Maquoketa — a very easy drive.
According to their event page, the farm will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days. There will be food, drinks and live music AND there will be an alpaca selfie booth. To top it off, visitors can also participate in some alpaca naming opportunities.
The page also mentions the possibility of a wine tasting, though that hasn't been set for sure just yet.
Basically, it's an alpaca lover's dream come true. And probably the closest we'll ever get to alpaca yoga...they're pretty big after all.
