A Frozen Favorite Comes To Movies On The Mississippi This Friday
One of the Quad-City resident's favorite events of the summer continues on Davenport's riverfront this Friday. Movies on the Mississippi's third movie of the season will be playing this Friday at LeClaire Park in Davenport. The movie that will be playing won't make you physically cold after this week's heat, but it will be a nice way to chill with the family.
The City of Davenport's Movies on the Mississippi continues this Friday, July 8th. This Friday, people will be able to watch a frosty Disney favorite, Frozen. While you won't get frozen on Friday, it will be a good way to chill and relax heading into the weekend.
The fun will begin at LeClaire Park (400 Beiderbecke Dr) in downtown Davenport this Friday at 6 p.m. with games and activities. Food vendors will also be on hand serving up a variety of food and beverages.
The playing of Frozen will begin around dusk on Friday and people will be able to enjoy the movie with the backdrop of the Mississippi River behind the movie. The other great part of Movies on the Mississippi is that admission is free.
Below is the lineup for the rest of the Movies on the Mississippi at LeClaire Park in downtown Davenport for the rest of the summer and into the fall:
- July 8 - Frozen
- September 30 - CARS
- October 7 - Hocus Pocus
We are hoping that weather-wise, Friday will be a great night to continue the 2022 season of Movies on the Mississippi. According to the National Weather Service of the Quad Cities, there is an 80% chance of showers throughout the day on Friday with highs expected to be in the 80s. But the good news is the National Weather Service of the Quad Cities (as of Wednesday) says there will be a 30% chance of showers before 8 p.m. and things should clear up after that.
Make sure you get your friends and family together, bring some blankets, and enjoy a beautiful Friday evening while watching Frozen during Movies on the Mississippi at LeClaire Park in downtown Davenport.
