It's a good news/bad news situation for Atomic fans.

Those of you who get your morning caffeine fix at Atomic Coffee West on Northwest Boulevard will be disappointed to learn that the location shut down this past Thursday, according to an Instagram post the shop made.

The reason for the closure? Atomic is prepping to open a drive-thru location in Bettendorf sometime this summer and is shifting their focus to the new spot. Atomic West had also recently scaled back their hours to only include weekdays since the shop was part of the ORA office building. I'm guessing business had gone down following the change.

Luckily, you can still hit up their drive-thru spot on Brady St, and the Bettendorf location should be opening soon. The coffee shop also teased another possible location opening in the West Davenport area in the future. Here's hoping that happens because I know a lot of their regular customers are going to miss Atomic at ORA.
