Avril Lavigne Is Coming To Chicago For The First Time In 5 Years
It's not so complicated – Avril Lavigne just needed some time off. But, after five years off the road, she's ready to get back out there.
The "Head Above Water" singer announced the tour on her Instagram, noting that it's named for that same single. She'll kick things off on September 14th in Seattle and will finish the tour October 11th in Philadelphia.
For any Quad Citizen hoping to catch a show, you're in luck! Avril Lavigne will be in Chicago on September 26th. She'll play the Chicago Theatre (one of my favorite venues in the city. If you've never been, you have to check it out).
According to Rolling Stone, the tour isn't just for fans; it's actually supporting a good cause too! Per their report, one dollar from every ticket purchase will go to the Avril Lavigne Foundation, which supports people with Lyme disease, serious illnesses or disabilities.
