After leaving Twitter earlier this month, Azealia Banks is back but only to update fans on her new project. On Thursday (March 24), the “212” rapper released her new mixtape, Slay-Z.

Apparently, someone was leaking songs from the collection and Banks made a preemptive strike to stop the leakage. The 24-year-old rapper posted a link to the mixtape because she wanted to make sure the project “came from my hand.” Much like the title, Banks slays on the NSFW cover, which features her topless and wearing a sombrero-inspired hat.

The eight-track mixtape features cameo appearances from Rick Ross and Nina Sky. Among the standout tracks on the tape are the anthemic “Skylar Diggins,” in which she salutes the WNBA player and other women who are making big moves. On “Big Talk,” Banks teams up with Rozay to spit braggadocios rhymes over a bass-heavy, trap music-inspired beat.

On the seductive "Along the Coast," Banks thanks her very attentive beau for his love-making skills. "Let your love explode / Boy, please let it overload / Don't release me, don't ever let me go / Til the sun rises in the morning," she rap-sings over a rubbery bass groove, jittery snares and a thumping beat.

Previously-released tracks like “Used to Being Alone” and the Biggie-sampled “The Big Big Beat” are also featured on the mixtape.

Overall, this is a dance-filled mixtape that should satisfy her die-hard fans. You can download the mixtape at Wetransfer.com.
