The Quad City Air Show is this weekend so the Thunderbirds are in town!

For the 34th year, the Quad City Air Show will take the skies at the Davenport Airport. You can always expect great air performers at the QC Air Show. This year will feature the U.S. Army Golden Knights, award-winning Skip Stewart, the Jack Aces P-51 Mustangs, the Tora, Tora, Tora show, Hot Streak II Jet Truck, Rad Aerosports, and more.

And of course...the United States Air Force Thunderbirds.

You've likely watched the Netflix documentary "Air Force Elite: Thunderbirds", which details the incredible skill Thunderbird pilots have. They fly in F-16 Fighting Falcons, which is the Air Force's premier multi-role fighter jet. Thunderbirds are among the country's best fighter pilots. The Thunderbirds arrived in Moline (the sonic booms and shaky buildings you've noticed this week) and we got the chance to chat with the fantastic pilots.

Sarah chatted with Thunderbird #4, slot pilot Tyler "Slasher" Clark about what you can expect at the Quad City Air Show and the wild skills and maneuvers required to be a Thunderbird.

The Quad City Air Show is going on August 23rd and 24th and besides the lineup of airborne performers, it will include some stunning ground displays.

Tickets for the Quad City Air Show are available at quadcityairshow.com. Make sure you bring some kind of ear protection too, these things are loud.

And if you look really closely during the show, the '5' is upside on Thunderbird #5 because it flies upside down the most.
