Bass Street Chop House on River Drive in Moline is closing its doors after 14 years.

According to our news partner, Local 4 NewsBass Street Chop House, located at 1601 River Drive in downtown Moline, is closing its doors after 14 years of business.

Owner of Bass Street Chop House, Jeff Harrop, told Local 4 News that the coronavirus, along with the ongoing I-74 construction, has taken a toll on the business and Bass Street Chop House will not reopen its doors.

Harrop said in a letter on the Bass Street Chop House Facebook page, that him and his family plan on staying in the restaurant business in the Quad Cities. He continues to say that Quad Citizens will continue to see the Bass Street name on their restaurants moving forward.

Harrop, who also owns Combine which is a Bass Street restaurant, will honor Bass Street Chop House gift cards at Combine, along with future Bass Street restaurants.

Combine is located at the Bend in East Moline and is currently closed to food service, but is doing wine carry out and selling gift cards.

Bass Street Chop House will continue offering carry-out and delivery until April 18 at 8:00 P.M.
