With such cold weather on its way to the Quad Cities, you might not be thinking about ice cream right now. Then again, is there ever really a bad time for ice cream? I vote no – unless it's being recalled.

According to KWQC, Blue Bell ice cream company is issuing a recall on select lots of its Butter Crunch flavored ice cream. The batches were made at Blue Bell's Sylacauga plant in Alabama, but shipped out of state. Per KWQC's findings, the recall is being issued because the ice cream may contain pieces of a broken plastic tool.

So far, the company is only recalling half gallons of the ice cream, with lid number: 082621222.

At this point, it appears that the half gallons that were affected were only distributed in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.

Still, it's best to be aware!
