As of 11:40 p.m., four officers are dead and 11 are injured following a shooting in downtown Dallas, Thursday night.
It took place during what witnesses call a "peaceful protest" on the recent shootings of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge and Philando Castile in a Twin Cities suburb.
Officials say two snipers were positioned in two separate parking garages downtown and opened fire on officers.
One officer killed was a Dallas Rapid Transit Authority (DART) officer, while two others were members of the Dallas Police Department. It is unclear with agency the fourth officer killed was with.
Police are currently searching for the two involved, but a photo of one suspected gunmen was released on Twitter by a Dallas Public Information Officer.
Police are also searching for a bomb that may be planted in the downtown following threats made by the gunmen.
