As a human, you have your best friends that you hang out with. Your furry bestie also needs friends of their own species and you both can make new friends at the biggest pet social event in Iowa.

This weekend, Nov. 15-17, It Takes A Village Animal Rescue & Resources is hosting its biggest and most crucial fundraising event of the year. It's the Fall Pet Festival at Muscatine's Riverside Park. This 3-day event is filled with fun for not only humans but for pets too. Plus, you'll be helping out an organization that truly needs your help as we head into the winter months.

Largest Pet Social Event In Iowa Happening Soon

Mark your calendar for a 3-day event like no other. It Takes A Village presents its biggest fundraiser of the year, the Fall Pet Festival presented by Berry Global and Visit Muscatine. The 3-day pet-filled festival will be held at Riverside Park in Muscatine this weekend from Friday, November 15th, to Sunday, November 17th.

3 days of Pet-Friendly Fun will begin Friday night with the Kick-Off Party, featuring The Bites for Barks Food Truck Battle, live music featuring Homebrewed, the opening night of their Village Craft Bazaar, and cold brews from the Village Bier Garden which will also be showcasing two special brews from Muscatine's own Contrary Brewing. You'll find out which food truck will win the coveted "Best In Show" trophy.

Saturday morning the fun continues with a day full of delicious eats, fun games, and competitions at the Village Pet Olympics. Bring your pups and kitties out to try a challenge or two, or dive in for the full Pet Olympic line-up for a chance to win Village Pet Olympic medals.

The first 1,200 pets through the gate will get a free Petfinder sWAG bag!

As with all of the It Takes A Village events, the culinary line-up is sure to impress on Saturday and Sunday with their Fall Favorites menu which is sure to delight your tastebuds. Enjoy Village classics like our Giant Breaded Tenderloins, as well as new showstoppers like Thanksgiving Dinner Poutine, Chili Smoked Mac & Cheese Bread Bowls, Apple Cider Donuts, and a variety of tasty vegan and vegetarian options as well!

Speaking of Sunday, close out the festival with Family Day. Bring the pets and the kids out to enjoy a whole day of games, good food, kid crafts, live demonstrations, and don't miss the birthday party for It Takes A Village mascot, Vinny the Village Pup.

The festival's Furry Friend Marketplace will offer the best quality pet supplies, gear, and treats from both local and national brands and vendors. The Village Craft Bazaar will be open all 3 days of the event.
