Illinois Man Wins Same Lottery Game Twice In 15 Years

What is it like to be this lucky in life?

They say money can't buy happiness but luck sure can.

According to the Illinois Lottery, an anonymous man from the Chicagoland area just won $1.3 million off of the Lucky Day Lotto game.

If you notice, it's always the same story for lottery winners- person buys lottery ticket at random favorite gas station, expecting nothing, and oops they win it. For this winning ticket, he stopped at the Oswego BP, which is at 2791 US Highway 34.

He says he just stopped by the BP to get a drink and decided to buy a ticket. His ticket matched all the numbers in the June 11th drawing, winning him the $1.3 million jackpot.

Of course he was super surprised. He said about the win:

I didn’t believe it at first—I asked myself, ‘Am I dreaming?’” he said. “Once I scanned the ticket and realized the numbers matched, reality set in...It's funny—I actually won a $45,000 prize playing this same game 15 years ago when it was called Little Lotto.

How does one win big on the lottery twice in 15 years? Asking for a friend. He didn't rely on picking his own lucky numbers or anything, he did the Quick Pick and let the game choose the numbers for him.

He plans to buy a new house and put the money towards retirement.

The lottery's website says Lucky Day Lotto is an Illinois-only game with two daily drawings at 12:40 p.m. and 9:22 p.m., and jackpots starting at $100,000.
