Clinton Police Responding to Two Shootings
CLINTON, IA — Police are investigating two shootings that occurred on Tuesday.
Police say officers responded to a shooting on the 400 block on 2nd Avenue South at about 1:30 p.m.
Police and fire responded to a Shell station with reports of a man being shot.
When officials arrived on scene, the man had left the location.
The 35-year-old man was located at a home on the 200 block of 2nd Avenue South.
He was transferred to Mercy Medical Center with a non-life threatening single gunshot wound.
Then around 3:30 p.m. police responded to the 300 block of 1st Avenue and 300 block of 2nd Avenue for a report of another shooting.
When officers arrived on scene they found a 26-year-old male with a gunshot wound.
He was also transferred to Mercy Medical Center.
The identities of the two men are not being released at this time.
