Downtown Davenport Restaurant Hosting Holiday Parade Watch Party
The Festival of Trees parade is back!
There's no shortage of Christmas festivities going on in downtown Davenport this weekend. Among them is the kickoff of the 40th Festival of Trees at the Rivercenter, which of course, begins with the helium balloon parade through downtown Davenport on Saturday morning.
The parade is the largest helium balloon parade in the Midwest. It will start at Pershing & 3rd, make it's way down 3rd Street, turn onto Scott Street, then onto 2nd, which it will continue down until it ends at Iowa & 2nd.
A perfect place to watch the parade will be Daiquiri Factory's Watch Party!
Located at 303 W 3rd, Daq Fac's parade watch party is one of my favorite annual events. You can watch the parade from their heated patio, enjoy some hot chocolate (spiked is available for 21+), and try their fantastic special breakfast menu. I had cider donut holes last year that were delightful.
Daq Fac will open at 9:00 a.m. and the parade starts at 10.
Unfortunately, I won't be there this year so take plenty of pictures for me!
And remember, with the Festival of Trees parade, it's always best to get there early so you can claim the best seats. If you're trying to figure out how parking will work (another reason to get there early), you can check out Davenport's ParkMobile app for available spaces. You can also see the map of parking garages that will be affected by the street closures on Festival of Trees' website.
