I am notorious for not having seen most movies.

  • Breakfast At Tiffany's? Sure. That sounds delicious! Does she have stuff for bloody marys?
  • Groundhog Day? Uhhh.. doesn't that happen sometime in February?
  • There's Something About Mary? I think Cameron Diaz is in that...

You get the picture.

My boyfriend Danny, on the other hand, is the complete opposite. He's seen every movie under the sun, knows every actor/actress/director, and essentially has all of IMDB.com memorized.

I have probably seen more movies within the 10 months of dating him than I have in the past five years. He's really giving it his all to have me appreciate a good screenplay.

The past two months he has been tirelessly watching Oscar nominated film after film trying to get through them all in time for Sunday. And, I'm not just talking the films nominated for "Best Picture/Actor/Actress." Oh no, he digs deep.

For example, we took a nice overnight trip to Iowa City the weekend before Valentine's to Film Scene - a quaint theater showing the five Oscar-nominated live action short films. I was just psyched to be at a theater that served you PBR.

Anyways, long story short, he's REALLY into the Oscars. This year, I enlisted his help to try and predict the 2016 Oscar Winners before the results are revealed at this Sunday's award show and here's what he came up with...
