Dave Chappelle Coming to Iowa for Documentary Tour
Dave Chappelle will be performing in Iowa next month as part of his new documentary tour.
Reps for comedian Dave Chappelle announced he'll perform at the Wells Fargo Arena in November as part of his 10-city "Untitled" documentary tour. Tickets for the event go on sale Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021.
The documentary which was released in June of this year follows the comic during the pandemic while he performed in outdoor shows in Ohio.
Tickets for the Nov. 9 show will go on sale Wednesday at 10 a.m. at hy-veetix.com.
You've probably seen the controversy in your newsfeeds lately about Chappelle's new Netflix special, "The Closer." Critics say Chappelle takes it too far with his remarks about the transgender community.
I watched the Netflix special the other night and now I'm wondering of the critics of his show have even seen the special. If you've ever seen Dave perform, you know he pushes boundaries. If you watch "The Closer" you'll find out exactly how Dave feels about the LGBTQ community, women, white people and strangers he meets in bars.
In case you haven't seen "The Closer," I won't reveal what he says, but it left me wondering, 'why are people so upset?' Before you fight me, watch the show.
If you go to the documentary screenings, leave your phones behind. Phones and other recording devices aren't allowed, which I think is actually a good idea for any performance, but that's just me. Here are more dates and venues for the screenings.
