Davenport is Closing All Park Structures This Week
Davenport's Parks and Recreation Department announced on Facebook that all park structures are closing this Tuesday, March 31, to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
In Bettendorf, all playgrounds located in City parks are closed until further notice. As of now, parks and trails remain open, but all patrons must adhere to CDC social distancing guidelines and remain 6 feet apart.
Structures include playgrounds and basketball, tennis, and pickleball courts, and park shelters. Parks will remain open for walking, bike riding, and other recreation, but residents are reminded to observe social distancing rules and maintain a 6-foot distance.
As of right now, all facilities will remain closed until April 13, although that deadline is expected to be extended.
Golf courses remain open in Davenport, however, concessions and clubhouses are closed. All golfers must use credit cards for payment.
