The Quad City Times reports that Davenport North student has been arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer after an altercation that took place Tuesday afternoon at the school.

The officer reported the girl tried to start a fight in the classroom but refused to leave the building when he asked her to. The girl refused to comply with the officer when he attempted to take her into custody and continued to fight.

The officer called for backup, and the student was then taken into custody and charged with assaulting a police officer. The officer sustained minor injuries from the incident. The student was later released to her parents.

This is the fourth time the police have been called to the school in the last 12 days.
