Davenport Police Department’s 19th Annual Toy Drive Is This Weekend
The holiday season is always a great time of year for giving back. There are many ways to give back to those in need in the Quad Cities, especially to kids who don't always get gifts during the holidays. The Davenport Police Department is once again giving Quad Citians a chance to give back with their 19th annual Toy Drive and it is happening this weekend.
On Wednesday, officials from the Davenport Police Department announced that the Davenport Police Association's 19th annual Toy Drive is happening this Saturday, December 11th, and Sunday, December 12th.
This toy drive raises money and collects new toys for children who are involved in Family Resources Domestic Violence Shelters, Child Advocate Programs (victims of sex assaults and other at-risk programs), and supports the Family Resources Adopt a Family Program.
The 19th annual Toy Drive will take place at the NorthPark Mall, 320 W Kimberly Road, Davenport, in front JCPenny. It will take place both Saturday and Sunday from10 a.m. to 5 p.m., both days.
The Davenport Police Association and Family Resources will be accepting new toys and monetary donations. It is to benefit the Domestic Violence Shelter and the families they serve.
Davenport Police Department officials ask the community to help bring smiles to the faces of children in the Davenport community and support Davenport's youth this holiday season by donating. You can find more information on the Davenport Police Department's Facebook page.
Thank you for supporting our youth in the Quad Cities and have a happy holiday and Merry Christmas, from B100!
