Not all children in the Quad Cities will have what they need when school begins. Here's where and how you can help.

This time of year, the Salvation Army donates hundreds of school supplies and more to Quad Cities kids in need. It's been a program that can help children have the best first start to their new school year.

Today, they were at area Walmart stores accepting those donations. If you missed them, you have more chances to donate and help kickoff the school year for our community with your generous donations.

According to WQAD.com,

Donations will be distributed at the Davenport and Moline locations to kids with identification this week on August 7th from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and August 8th from 9 a.m to 3 p.m.

It's great to see kids have the supplies they need to step into their first day of school with confidence. All kids deserves that.
