Dreams of New Bakery in Davenport Just Got Sweeter

There's a new flavor of sweetness in downtown Davenport and her dreams got sweeter, too.

Some dream of filling their days with traveling and adventure, some dream of landing that CEO position at work and some dream of being their own boss.

Jennifer Ewert dreamt of doing one of the things she loves most. On July 28th, Jennifer took a leap of faith and opened her doors at French Rose Bakery at 220 Main Street in Davenport. Inside of a bank building basement, she bakes pastries and well, see for yourself.

What could make this, from-the-ground-up bakery even more special?  WQAD.com reported today that French Rose Bakery received a $10,000 Know Your Worth Grant from Royal Neighbors Foundation. 

Jennifer will use the grant to buy supplies and equipment.

She'll also get business advice and pointers to help her succeed.
